¿Viajas a Francia? Elige un plan de datos para tu viaje e instala la eSIM antes de salir en un móvil compatible y libre.
You may not need another eSIM for France. Many EU/EEA mobile plans include roaming, subject to your tariff and fair-use limits. Swiss plans vary. Check your exact destination and remaining allowance before buying extra data.
You may not need an extra travel eSIM. Keep the confirmation and follow your provider’s roaming settings. Monitor usage during the trip; recheck before buying data you already have.
Compare your provider’s extra-data option with the current country plans below. Check phone compatibility first. If you choose an OrientPass eSIM, select it for mobile data and disable automatic mobile-data switching; keep home-line data roaming off to avoid unintended home data use.
Ask your provider: “Is this destination included in my exact tariff? How many GB remain for these dates? What happens when they run out?” If data does not work on arrival, use Wi-Fi to check the selected line, roaming permission and allowance with that provider. Do not buy a replacement just because one setting is wrong.
These are provider examples, not rules for every operator. Choose by where your mobile contract is issued, not by your nationality.
Telekom describes EU roaming at domestic tariff conditions. Check your exact tariff’s roaming allowance and limits; do not assume every German tariff, or every unlimited plan, has identical terms.
A1 states that its existing tariff covers data roaming within the EU. Check the EU data amount available in your own tariff. An option advertised for travel outside the EU does not itself mean you need it in France or Spain.
Swisscom lists France and Spain in its EU/UK package zone, with territorial exceptions. Check what your own subscription already includes and any package validity in Cockpit. A listed zone is not a promise of included data for every Swiss subscription.
The country plans below provide data, not a local phone number or SMS. Home-line calls and SMS keep your home provider’s conditions. A France plan is not a France-and-Spain plan: check each plan’s coverage before crossing a border, and do not assume overseas territories are included.
On ferries and aircraft, satellite mobile networks are outside ordinary EU roaming protections. If unsure, use flight mode and separately check any onboard Wi-Fi offer. A country eSIM does not promise coverage at sea or in the air.
Reviewed 2026-10-20: EU guidance, separate DE/AT/CH provider pages, and Airalo France / Nomad Spain country and regional options. Verified OrientPass country specifications against the supplier catalog; this is not a network field test. Your own provider confirms your contract terms.
The France-only plans below do not cover Switzerland. For one travel eSIM across both countries, check a regional plan’s exact coverage. First check your home tariff separately for France and Switzerland; you may already have enough data.
Confirm the included allowance, dates and charges for each country with your own provider. German, Austrian and Swiss contracts have different terms. If both stops are covered and the allowance is enough, you may not need another eSIM.

A French departure point or a French internet exit does not add Swiss coverage. If Switzerland is already covered by your home plan, a France-only package may still meet your extra-data need.
The current regional options listed here explicitly include France and Switzerland. Plan your combined use across both stops: the data allowance is shared across the covered countries, not renewed at the border.
The regional plans shown have one validity period starting at their first supported-network connection. Entering Switzerland does not restart it. Check the whole trip’s dates and allowance before purchasing.
Save your next address and installation instructions while you have internet. Check that your chosen plan covers the next stop, and select the right installed eSIM for mobile data. Follow its roaming and APN instructions. Keep home-line data roaming and automatic data switching off unless you deliberately accept your carrier’s terms.
Reconnect to working Wi-Fi and check the exact package in your order. Keep the eSIM installed. A different APN or more France-only data will not add Swiss coverage. Use a connection that explicitly covers Switzerland, or ask support to review your options before another purchase. Previously incurred home-carrier charges are handled by that carrier; a travel eSIM cannot reverse them.
These are data-only plans. Network coverage and speed can vary, especially near borders or in mountains. Other stops, overseas territories and ship or satellite networks need their own coverage checks.
Coverage and activation checked against the exact current supplier profiles on 21 October 2026. Manufacturer or supplier specifications are not our field-test results. Other providers already offer local and regional choices; this guide makes our current country scope visible.
